Safety Programs

STOPTM

Ensco has a vision of a safe zero-incident workplace. To assist in achieving this goal Ensco adopted the DuPont  STOPTM for Supervision in the Petroleum Refining and Oil & Gas Extraction Industry.  This is a behavioral safety program which focuses on how to prevent incidents which can harm people, the environment, or damage assets. STOPTM is an important safety tool that we believe will continue to help us achieve the Ensco vision. Our vision will be achieved by conducting quality observations and interventions that identify at risk behaviors and encourage people to modify their behavior to prevent future incidents.

Supervisor Safety Training Program

The focus of the Supervisor Safety Training Program (SSTP) is the Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and how it gives offshore supervisors a consistent approach to managing hazards on all Ensco rigs. The power of a consistent approach means that when you step on any Ensco rig, everyone on board understands how to use a Work Instruction, be part of a Job Safety Analysis conversation, implement the Permit to Work system and apply Energy Isolations. Ensco’s SSoW is an essential element in ensuring everyone gets home safely.

Safety Leadership Development Program

The Safety Leadership Development Program (SLDP) is Ensco’s approach to build a leadership culture with skills necessary for success. Senior leaders across the Company, including Offshore Installation Managers (OIMs) have participated in this program. The SLDP is a major contributor towards the Ensco vision of obtaining a safe zero-incident workplace.
